We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. The ideal candidate will support children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining positive relationships with families and staff.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities.
- Supervise children at all times, including classroom activities, playground time, meals, and rest periods.
- Foster positive behavior using appropriate classroom management techniques.
- Support children’s emotional, social, language, and physical development.
- Conduct daily routines including feeding, diapering, potty training, and nap supervision as needed.
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and child progress records.
- Sanitize toys, classroom materials, and equipment regularly according to health and safety standards.
- Set up learning centers and classroom materials to encourage exploration and creativity.
- Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate progress with parents and administrators.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and center policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and administration to maintain a positive learning environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or early elementary-aged children preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, patient, and flexible.
- Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day
- High school diploma required
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children
- Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib and get down and up from the floor unassisted.
